Mixed-SKU Wholesale Decor Orders: MOQ by Design or Total Order?
Buying several decor designs for resale? Confirm MOQ by item, order totals and quantity changes before requesting a wholesale quotation.

A retailer or distributor may select several decorative products and reach a substantial total quantity, while still requesting too few units of certain designs.
For a mixed-SKU wholesale decor order, the minimum order quantity may apply to each design, while separate conditions may apply to the complete purchase. Both need confirmation before the selection becomes an agreed order.
The practical starting point is a shortlist showing what you want to buy and how many units you need of each item.
Does MOQ Apply to Each Design or the Total Order?
Do not assume that quantities across different designs can be added together to meet a product minimum.
For example, a proposed order might contain 40 units of one decorative object, 30 trays and 20 vases. The total is 90 pieces, but that figure alone does not establish whether any of the three product lines meets the applicable purchasing conditions.
These quantities are illustrative, not MUENHUIDECOR order minimums.
Ask which conditions apply to your actual selection:
Condition | What needs confirmation |
|---|---|
MOQ per design | The minimum quantity for each selected product |
Specification treatment | Whether a requested size or finish changes the applicable minimum |
Order multiple | Whether quantities must follow specified increments |
Overall order requirement | Whether a separate minimum value or total quantity applies |
An overall order requirement and a product MOQ can apply together. Satisfying one does not establish that the other has been met.
Submit Quantities Against Specific Product References
“Several designs, around 200 pieces” leaves important parts of the purchase undefined.
Identify each selected product using a link, catalogue reference or clearly matched image. Add the required size or finish and the proposed quantity beside that reference.
Start with our product range to identify the designs you want reviewed. A product page provides a reference for discussion; it does not confirm that every combination is available under the same ordering terms.
If you are requesting an adaptation, mark it against the relevant item. A different finish, dimension, material or packaging requirement may need separate quantity confirmation.
Identify Quantity Limits Before the Quote Is Finalized
Some products may be essential to the purchase. Others may be optional.
Tell the supplier where your proposed quantities have room to change and where they represent a firm limit. This helps distinguish a workable revision from a purchase your business cannot accept.
If an item does not meet the available conditions, the discussion may involve increasing its quantity, removing it or deferring it. Any revised selection still needs confirmation against the complete order requirements.
Do not approve additional stock simply because the combined quantity appears more substantial. Review the commitment attached to each product line.
Check the Confirmed Mix Before Approving the Order
A quotation may contain quantities that differ from the original request.
Compare the proposed and quoted quantities item by item. Check that the product reference, specification, unit of purchase and line total match your understanding.
Also establish which quoted charges apply to individual products and which apply to the complete order.
A lower unit price may come with a larger quantity commitment. The relevant decision is whether the confirmed quantities and total quoted cost fit the purchase your business intends to make.
If an item is removed or changed, ask whether that affects the remaining quotation or overall order conditions.
State Any Later Purchasing Requirement Briefly
If the shortlist is intended for an ongoing retail or distribution range, mention whether later purchases may include only some of the original designs.
That information allows the requirement to be raised before the opening order is approved. It does not reserve stock or establish future quantities, prices or availability.
For the separate question of moving from an initial test to larger purchases, see our guide to small trial orders and larger reorders.
